The Klamath County Treasurer's Investment Pool (TIP) is a voluntary investment vehicle operated by the Klamath County Treasurer. The TIP also has involuntary participants based on the receipt of property taxes by the local special district. All local governments in Klamath County are eligible to participate.
Investment Objectives
The TIP's objective is to provide a safe, liquid, and competitive investment option for local government pursuant to Oregon Revised Statutes Chapter 294. The TIP's investment objectives are, in priority order:
- Conformance with federal, state, and other legal requirements
- Preservation of capital and the protection of investment principal
- Liquidity to meet operating requirements
- Diversification
- Market rate of return throughout budgetary and economic cycles
The TIP offers 100% liquidity to its participants.
Investing
The TIP lets local governments use the Klamath County Treasurer's resources to safely invest their funds while enjoying the economies of scale available from a $130 million pooled fund investment portfolio.
