Kelley Minty Morris is a Klamath County Commissioner, elected to the Board in 2014 on a platform of improving economic opportunities in Klamath County, making government more effective, and fostering a greater connection between Oregon Tech and the Klamath Basin. Commissioner Morris was appointed by Oregon’s Governor to serve as a Trustee for Oregon Tech and as a Commissioner for the Oregon Business Development Commission. Minty Morris serves on the Civic Leader Council for the Air Force, and was recently appointed to the Oregon Drug and Alcohol Policy Commission. Morris is, more recently, an American Leadership Forum fellow.
Kelley grew up in the Willamette Valley and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Pacific Lutheran University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Business. Kelley moved to Klamath Falls to start her 12-year journalism career at KOTI-TV, moving on to work in a similar role at WPTZ in Upstate New York. She moved back to Klamath County to begin a new chapter in public service, spending 5 years as the Communications and Outreach Manager for the non-profit Citizens for Safe Schools before running for elected office. Kelley shares her Klamath Falls home with her husband Dean and the puppies they adopted from the Klamath Humane Society. When she's not attending meetings, you can often find Kelley hiking, running or in a yoga studio
